State's Cedric Simmons has signed with an agent, thereby ending any chance
that he'll play for Sidney Lowe next year, despite Lowe's attempts to cajole him
into returning. He has signed with Andy Miller. If that name rings a
bell, it's because he was accused of violating the law in Tennessee and Florida
in order to sign players. He called Mike Miller 45 times and faced a
possible felony charge, but ended up paying a relatively minor fee (and losing
Miller as a client).
