Ed Hardin has a column up on State's search, starting with the suggestion
that
you should be careful what you wish for,
because you might get it. The
thrust of his article: "The problem isn't the job or the program or the
university. It's the perception. State's image isn't good right now. Every coach
in the country watched what happened to Sendek, and every one of them saw him
walk away to Tempe after five straight NCAA appearances. They saw him walk away
from one of the best basketball facilities in the country, from the epicenter of
college basketball itself, because he was tired of the noise."
