Who? Julius Powell was seventh-fastest among ACC regulars to attempt a 3-pointer last season. He was also tenth in the percent of his points achieved from long-range. Yet few have heard of Powell, the Clemson sophomore from Newton, N.C. Powell appeared in every game last season, averaging almost 17 minutes per outing. He started 11 times for the Tigers in 2006.
Powell averaged a bit more than 14 minutes in Clemson's five games thus far. All but two of his 17 points have come on threes.
