We
were surprised somewhat that Maryland won, and indeed, they lost a 15 point
lead, and in the closing minutes,
they made a traditional Maryland Big Mistake. But Illinois gave the ball right back,
Maryland scored on a layup, and the game was for all intents and purposes
over.
Miami arguably should have beaten Northwestern, but the team is likely - and
understandably - upset by the death of Frank Haith's nephew, who was shot down
by police in New York under unclear circumstances. An investigation is
under way. But certainly being distracted would be forgivable given what
has happened.
Florida State turned the ball over 14 times in the first half, and that makes
it really hard to win.
In tomorrow's action, the highlight is obviously UNC and Ohio State, with the
Buckeyes now #1 nationally. Should be fun.
