Maryland was most impressive against St. John's, running the Redmen out of
the gym by halftime as Ikene Ibekwe personally outscored the Johnnies in the
first half, 22-21. He also grabbed 14 boards. Manly performance!

Maryland faces Michigan State Friday in the Coaches vs. Cancer finals.
This game has to give them enormous confidence, but as we have seen in College
Park over the years, confidence can be a fragile thing.
Not surprisingly, Georgia Tech took a big chunk out of Georgia State,
winning 103-74. Thaddeus Young got 19 points and Javaris Crittenton had
nine assists.
No doubt Tyler
Hansbrough has a surpassing intensity. But can he pass it on to his
teammates?
The Sporting News, by the way,
pegs UNC as the top team in the land.
More trouble
for Virginia Tech football?
Not sports-related, but
here's a list of what political figures Dean Smith has given money to.
