Students from Duke and UNC, trying to raise money for the Hoop Dreams
Basketball Academy, set
a record for the longest basketball game played, going for 2 1/2 days.
We're happy to report that even after 2 1/2 days, Duke was better, winning
3,688-3,444.
We're less happy to say they didn't make their goal of $80,000, missing by
$20,000. But still, it's a great thing to do.
