Interesting news for the ACC: former official John
Clougherty has been hired as the new coordinator of men's basketball officials.
Clougherty, who is no longer an active official, has a lifetime of experience
and probably watches the officials as much as the games anyway. It would
be really interesting to get his take on who the truly talented officials are,
who stinks, and who showboats. Tentatively, we'd have to say it's a very
smart hire.
