A Software Rant

We know from our logs that we have readers from Microsoft. So can we
ask you directly, and plaintively: why? Why do you tell us that you
have critical updates - and use it to force us to install your messenger
service? Why do you do the same thing with your beta spyware
program? Many of us don't want the messenger program, yet you continue to
ram it down our throats. Why is this? What possible goodwill does it build for
your company to force us to install junk we don't want?

We ask this with all due respect and would appreciate an answer from anyone
in Redmond. And in it, please tell us how to get it off our damn
PCs.
