Gregg Doyel has a
pretty good rip up on Jerry Wainwright and DePaul's choice to hire him.
We think he's off on this one.
Wainwright has not been a high-profile coach, but he's been a terrific
defensive coach, and you may remember that superb effort his UNC-W team put up
against defending champs Maryland, losing only when Drew Nicholas hit the shot
of a lifetime at the buzzer. That was a pretty good Maryland team, and the
Seahawks came within a whisker of sending them home.
We think he'll do fine.
