Basketball Report says Dick Vitale  sometimes labeled "Dookie
V" by critics who tire of his praise for Mike Krzyzewski's program  will
get an honorary degree from Duke. The trouble with that one is that it's
plausible. Vitale already has an honorary
degree from Notre Dame. So why not Duke? The likely tipoff in the story is
the harsh and unlikely comment from Duke grad and fellow ESPN broadcaster Jay
Bilas: "It's a terrible idea. It's just going to further the stereotype of
Duke's preferential treatment." ÂBeau Dure, 2 p.m."
