Steve Kerr referred to Elton Brand as the Susan
Lucci of the NBA -- always finishing just out of the voting for the
All-Star team.
Had Elton remained in the Eastern Conference, there's little doubt that he
would have been a perennial All-Star. However, with players like Nowitzki,
Garnett, Stoudamire, Duncan, and such in the Western Conference -- combined
with the fact that Elton plays for a team that hovers around .500 -- there's
little chance (barring injury or other event) of him being picked for the
team anytime in the near future.
The Clippers' website recently posted this
article -- stacking Elton's stats against the other players selected for
the 2005 All-Star game.
Snub? You be the judge.
