Unfortunately, the long-standing tradition of bonfires at Duke has been banned. After the UNC game, the fire got big enough that the fire department was concerned it might collapse.
After what happened in Texas not too long ago, it's a valid concern. And yes, we understand it's not the same type of bonfire, but they're professionals and they know what they're doing and where the danger point is. When it comes to fire, it's wise to be careful.
