An Olympian Desire From Alan Iverson

With Tim Duncan out and LeBron James taking a wait-and-see attitude, who is
genuinely interested? Who really wants to go and represent his country? And
willing to make a three-year commitment?

Alan
Iverson, that's who.

Iverson has his drawbacks. He's had trouble dealing with his coaches,
with practice, and then there's the various legal issues. But no one has
ever questioned his passion or his commitment to play hard. We're not huge
fans, frankly, but we can see the argument. Our biggest concern: he'll be
33 by the time the games come around and will have played year-round for three
years. We're honestly not sure his body can take it, given what he puts it
through on a nightly basis.
