- North Carolinaâs Terry already has played more minutes this season than he did during 2004-05.
- Wakeâs Trent Strickland averages 35.1 minutes this year compared to 16.9 in â05. UNCâs David Noel plays 33.7 minutes per game compared to 16.9 last season.
- The most remarkable jumps in scoring are those where increases in playing time were most modest, as with Marylandâs Drew Nicholas in 2003 and Virginiaâs Norman Nolan in 1998. Both were rewarded with second team All-ACC recognition, the only such honors of their careers.
- Junior college transfers tend to improve statistically their second year as they adjust to a higher level of competition.
