The ACC won the Big Ten-ACC Challenge yet again, as the conference did well
on the final day of competition, with Maryland beating Minnesota, 83-66, Georgia
Tech just barely losing to Michigan State, 88-86, UVa beating Northwestern
72-57, and N.C. State losing to Iowa, 45-42.
Georgia Tech's performance was perhaps most impressive, particularly after
the embarrassing loss to Illinois-Chicago. They came pretty close to
pulling off an impressive upset.
And in the overall challenge, you have to be impressed with what FSU did,
although it could be an illusion, since they often look good against cupcakes.
And certainly UNC made an impressive showing. Wonder how good they'll
be by the end of the year? Hard to say, but they were impressive in spots.
