Indiana warmed up for Duke with
a drubbing of Western Illinois, 102-79. They continued to shoot
brilliantly from behind the line, going 16-26, and got assists on 29 of 36
baskets. Big man Marco Killingsworth scored 22 inside, which is good,
because we were wondering why IU took so many outside shots against a clearly
overmatched team. If you can do it, you might as well, but it might not be
the best long-term strategy and may not have been the best way to prepare for a
tougher part of the schedule. However, IU is clearly gaining confidence,
and Mike Davis really likes his team, so we'll see soon enough.
