ACC Roundup

In ACC games Wednesday night, Maryland
beat Arkansas
75-62 out in Maui, State
beat VMI 75-55
, and Clemson beat South Carolina 79-38.

Maryland has some deficiencies, but athleticism isn't one of them, and
neither is defense in the backcourt. Chris McCray and D.J. Strawberry may
emerge as the best defensive backcourt in the ACC, if not the nation.

State beat VMI, but
they struggled against the Keydets defense
, which no one seemed to
understand.

You can't put too much stock in beating MEAC teams, but a few years ago,
Clemson struggled with everyone, MEAC included.
Now they're winning by 30 points.
Things are changing around
Littlejohn.

Everyone is off for Thanksgiving. ACC play resumes Friday with
Illinois-Chicago at Georgia Tech, Morgan State at Virginia Tech, Appalachian at
Wake Forest, FSU at Florida, UCSB at UNC, and B.C. playing in the Las Vegas
Invitational. Looks like they're playing Drake.

Obviously the best game out of that bunch should be Florida State at
Florida. FSU is looking to establish some buzz, and beating Florida is a
good way to start.
