Congressional Hearings On NCAA Near

We've pointed out over the years that the SEC is a corrupt conference and may
as well stand for Situational Ethics Conference. It's widely regarded as
the most corrupt conference in the nation, and even the commissioner
acknowledges there is a daunting problem. So after Alabama football and
Auburn basketball got probation,
it's not at all surprising that an Alabama congressman has arranged
congressional hearings
, arguing that due process is lacking.

Okay, maybe so, but since the member institutions agree on how to regulate
their association, including Alabama and the rest of the SEC, it's kind of hard
to argue that the members aren't getting exactly what they want.

Still, we're looking forward to seeing who the witnesses are. Bring on Tark!
