recommend you go hear Bill Russell speak at the first in a series of events to
commemmorate the 50th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education.
Some might think why go hear a jock, but defining this man as a jock is the
height of folly. Bill Russell was the greatest player of all time because
of his intellect and immense strength of character. He's not the most
public person, so if you get a chance to hear him speak, you should most
definitely take it. He's a rare gem. That we know him mostly through
basketball is by chance: he would have made himself known to us in other ways.
