As Maryland continues the drive against pottymouth-itis, Rock and Roll, Part
II, after being banned at football games, has
been banned at basketball games as well. They will print a "Garyland
Gazette" for fans to shake when opposing players are introduced,
maintaining that tradition, and they will trade nice t-shirts for naughty
ones.
It remains to be seen if the student body at large will buy into these
reforms - some of them seem tailor-made to provoke - but at least it's a step in
the right direction. Now to deal with the undercurrent of violence...
