Saturday's
trip to Blacksburg marks the debut of Virginia Tech as an ACC team, thus
fulfilling a long dream for Tech folk.
We had thought that it was a great situation for Duke: Tech hasn't lit the
world on fire in their first two games, and they're bound to not expect much
from Duke (in fairness, they did lay a whipping on Western Michigan, but come on, it's not like it was Michigan). We figured that with a bit of Roof's intensity and a
sense of opportunism, combined with Tech's not always intense start, an upset was
possible. Unfortunately, injuries have likely derailed that scenario. We
can still hope, but it's going to be a lot tougher.
