Alana Beard's Washington Mystics beat Diana Taurasi's Phoenix Mercury for the second time, sweeping the season series. The win put the Mystics in the playoffs, and a win on Sunday, combined with a loss by the Connecticut Sun to the Indiana Fever will clinch the home court advantage up to the WNBA Finals. While Taurasi outscored Alana by 2 this time, in the last game Taurasi did not score, so Alana holds a head to head performance edge.

Meanwhile, Iciss Tillis's Detroit Shock need to beat the Charlotte Sting on Sunday to grab the last playoff spot in the east.
