Laettner has been picked up by the Miami Heat after being waived by Golden
State, meaning he will finally join up with his collegiate nemesis, Shaquille O'
Neal. The Lakers tried hard to get him, but never could make it happen.
You may remember Laettner tormented O' Neal by just going outside and
shooting. As a SI article a while back revealed, Stanley Roberts did the
same thing at LSU.
For Laettner, this is a chance to actually win in the NBA, something which
has eluded him. Wonder how being on a contender will affect him?
