It was never really a secret that former Blue Devil Michele Van Gorp was gay, but it was never publicly discussed, either. Now, Van Gorp has become one of a very few number of active pro athletes to confirm her homosexuality.
In an interview with a magazine and the Pioneer Press, Van Gorp discusses her sexual orientation and says "It's not anything I ever hid. I'm not coming out; I've been out for a long time."
