Ohio State has told Bob Knight that he will not be coming home.
Instead, they may
be focusing in on Marquette's Tom Crean. If you read the site
regularly, you may recall that we were not entirely sold on Big East expansion,
because several of the schools they went after have built their success around
one coach (much like Georgetown and John Thompson back in the day), and that's
very hard to carry over to another guy. Crean has done a brilliant job at
Marquette, but who will they find to follow up on that? It's a very tough
job, and he's made it look, relatively speaking, easy.
