Things aren't coming easily for Alana Beard, as she's struggling to fit
in on a team that hasn't found the right chemistry. Still, she keeps
plugging away, as she notes in a recent diary entry. The Mystics have a rookie coach in Michael
Adams and have used several different starting lineups. One thing has
remained constant for Beard: she's the team's best defender and has been
getting a lot of minutes as a result. The Chronicle caught up with her and she talked about how much
she missed Duke.
