After John Thompson III took the Georgetown job, Princeton likely only made
one phone call, and that was to alum Joe
Scott, another master of the Princeton system, who just had an absolutely
amazing year at Air Force.
Now consider this: John Thompson, we thought, was developing into an
excellent coach at Princeton, and he got a major job. Sure his name didn't hurt,
but he still is an excellent coach.
So that means that Princeton's last four coaches are, in reverse order:
- Joe Scott
- John Thompson
- Bill Carmody
- Pete Carrill
We thought Thompson was doing an incredible job, and he's probably the
weakest guy on this list. Princeton is amazing.
