A Welcome Change If It Comes

According to Mike DeCourcy, there is increasing support for a change in the
NBA draft which would require
high school kids to wait until three years after their class graduates to enter
the draft
. Any such rule would have to be approved by the union, and
it always amazes us that they haven't, because the guys who are in the union are
the guys who have the jobs, and the kids in high school are taking them.

From the NBA's point of view, it would force younger players to hone their
skills elsewhere, which would be good news. The NBA used to be the place
to go to see the most skilled players on the planet. Sadly, that's not really
true anymore.
