You hear a lot of bad news in sports these days and you tend to get sort of a hard shell, and it takes a lot to get through. When we heard that Calvin Murphy, the former Rockets great, had been accused of molesting his five daughters, well, that got through.
Murphy, who at 5-9 was one of the great little men in NBA history, has asked for a leave from his duties as a Rockets broadcaster. He maintains his innocence and says his daughters - each by a different woman - are after money.
It's so shocking and depressing, no matter who is telling the truth, that we can't really think of anything else to say.
