a contract extension from the University of New Orleans.
Towe, who was featured on the cover of one State media guide dribbling
between the legs of 7'4" Tom Burleson, was also the coolest free throw
shooter of all time: the ref handed him the ball and up it went. No dribbles, no
second thoughts, just chucked up at the rim - and usually in. A lot of
guys never even got set.
