Mike Dement was fired as head coach of Southern Methodist. Mike was a student assistant with Coach K during the 1982-3 season, and went on to be the head coach at Cornell in 1986, then UNC-Greensboro and finally SMU. Dement was 138-120 with SMU, and will be replaced on an interim basis by Robert Lineberg.
Robert Brickey is also on the SMU staff as an assistant.
