Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox are World Series Champs for the first time since 1918. Last time they won, World War I was still raging (the Armistice was signed on November 11th), women didn't have the vote, and, if memory serves, Franklin Roosevelt was still walking. The curse, if there was a curse, is done.

Not only are they champs, but after going down 0-3 to the Yankees, they won eight straight, and never trailed: champs indeed.

The celebration should be incredible. One hopes they'll invite guys like Fred
Lind and Bill Buckner. It is a shame that Ted Williams died before this happened.

We know from experience that a lot of you guys are Red Sox fans, so congratulations to you and to your marvelous team.
