Here's a mildly caustic article about Mike Tranghese and the Big East and
how they do business. To follow that up,
here's an article on Donna Shalala, and Lee Fowler's take on
expansion. Here's an historical oddity: Lee Fowler and Norm Sloan
were both assistants at Memphis. Fowler took a job there in 1986, which
would put him there at about the same time as the train wreck engineered by Dana
Kirk, who ultimately went to prison. Does anyone know if he worked for
Dana Kirk? Talk about a red flag on your resume.
