Congratulations to Wake Forest for their first regular season title
since Billy Packer wore tight shorts. Skip Prosser has completely transformed that
program, and the whiny Odom era, when Wake supposedly couldn't compete with Duke and UNC,
seems ages ago (this despite having Rodney Rogers, Tim Duncan, Randolph Childress, and
Josh Howard). Here's hoping Wake will remain a strong and vital ACC power for years
to come. It's fun to see them succeed, except, of course, against Duke.
Aside from everything else, the school represents the ACC extremely well. We'll
be pulling for them in the post-season.
