Former Duke star and first year Charlotte head coach Katie Meier was
named Conference USA Coach of the Year. She took a very young club and led
them to a regular season championship for the first time in 13 years.
Katie turned a team expected to do nothing into a very good club, and did
it with just one senior. And of course, one shouldn't forget the
contributions of assistant Nicole Erickson.
