Ever dream of playing hoops in Cameron Indoor Stadium, going one-on-one against Christian Laettner, and being coached by Coach K himself? HereÂs your chance!
From August 21-24, the inaugural Coach K Academy will be in session. For lack of a better term, itÂs a Âfantasy camp for those who want the experience of a lifetime. Also at the Academy will be all of the Duke assistant coaches, plus many former players, including (subject to final confirmation) Laettner, Bobby Hurley, Grant Hill, Elton Brand, Mark Alarie, Jason  er, Jay  Williams, Shane Battier, and many more.
During the day, youÂll share meals with the coaches and your teammates, do stations and drills, play hoops, listen to Coach K breakdown videotape of your performance (nothing intimidating about that, huh?), and play more hoops. The emphasis is on close, one-on-one contact with the coaching staff.
You must be at least 30 years of age to participate. Accommodations and meals (including a Casino Night to raise proceeds for the Emily Krzyzewski Family Life Center) will be at the highly-rated Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club, just a short walk from Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The all-inclusive price for this four-day, three-night Academy is $7,500, and enrollment is limited to 80 participants (although you can bring a spouse or guest to the meals). A good chunk of that fee will be tax-deductible, as a portion of the proceeds will go to the Duke Basketball Scholarship Fund and the aforementioned Emily Krzyzewski Family Life Center.
