Why does ESPN send Len Elmore to do Duke games? He's a soft-spoken guy, but very quietly what he often seems to be saying is: I can't stand Duke or anyone associated with Duke.
In the St. John's game Saturday, Elmore repeatedly ripped the officials, suggesting that Duke had an unfair advantage - in essence, repeating the Maryland Charge (Duke can't possibly beat us this much without some help) on national TV, which he does a few times a year.
Elmore is entitled to his opinion, but so is everyone else and most of us don't get a multi-million person audience. Maybe he could spend a little more time explaining fundamentals and rebounding (his areas of expertise) and a little less officiating the game from the announcers booth.
