Aside from the brief period of success which included an upset of Indiana in
the NCAA Tournament, which ultimately proved not to be all it was cracked up to
be, and the notoriety of hiring Rollie Massimino on the downside of his career,
Cleveland State has had little to brag about in basketball. They almost
had UNC, did have them in fact, but
let them go. This was in Jawad Williams' homecoming game, the same JW
who predicted this would be the best team of all time. His coach said
"''Ol Roy ain't that good," so we're guessing the truth is somewhere
between struggling with Cleveland State and being the best team of all
time. 'Ol Roy is closer to the mark.
