Duke's nice little run under Ted Roof - not that they won everything but that
they were truly competitive -
ended in Clemson, with the Tigers winning 40-7. Looking around,
though, you see N.C. State almost beating FSU, Miami almost losing to Syracuse
after losing two straight, Virginia Tech, stunningly, barely surviving a Temple
program so bad that the Big East is about to boot them out, and B.C. motoring
along at 6-5...well, these guy wanted to join the ACC, and all we can say is
it's a two-way street. Welcome to our conference, and thanks for fitting
in so quickly. Now better get to work on those hoops programs!
