Coach K will be at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City to accept the "Great Sports Legend" award from the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, which was founded by Nick Buoniconti after his son, Marc, was paralyzed during a college football game. Tom Brokaw will MC the dinner. Other award winners this year are Lennox Lewis, Nancy Lopez, Bill Walton, Scotty Bowman, Pat Summerall, Rod Carew, Greg LeMond, Frank Gifford and Greg Louganis. Over $1 million is expected to be raised for this cause.
