Terping in the World Cup

It looks like the Italian Football federation has hired Gary Williams as a public relations consultant. Following their loss to South Korea, they are blaming the referees, South Korea, and basically anybody but themselves.

Meanwhile, the Mexicans are also complaining about the tactics used by the US: Take a lead and defend the lead. Apparently, we were not sporting enough to give Mexico some goals... say, three of them?

There's a common thread in both cases: An inability to acknowledge that they lost to a better team on the day. DBR's message to the complainers:
