Vanilla Man's Revenge

When Mike Brey got the job, people who knew anything about basketball knew how lucky Notre Dame was. Don't count Skip Bayless among their number.

Then writing for the Chicago Tribune, Bayless said that Brey was a "vanilla" coach, who Notre Dame hired from little Delaware because they didn't have the courage or commitment to go after someone like Rick Majerus (whose health problems, by the way, have to an extent derailed Utah's program).

However, the Vanilla Man has done a number in South Bend, and has a team which could drive to the Final Four, from where, as you know, it's a crap shoot.
