It looks as if Charlotte can definitely have another NBA team if it wants one. There is a plan now to build a new stadium, and David Stern has said he expects Charlotte will get a franchise if they get a new stadium. This kind of franchise turnaround is extremely rare. We're not sure it's ever happened. Maybe the Cleveland Browns, but that's about it. It says a lot about the Charlotte market, but also says a lot about how totally George Shinn blew it with the Hornets.
