Two things:
1) Trajan Langdon was scheduled to carry the Olympic torch in Cleveland
today, 1/2 (I saw this in USA Today this morning). I wonder how many Dukies
have had THAT opportunity...
2) While I completely agree that Kentucky ranked ahead of Duke is NUTS, you
should read the lead-in for the SI list. It is intended to show the hottest
teams at the moment, not necessarily the best. It is weighted heavily on
momentum and recent games. Kentucky's thrashing of Louisville was probably
a bit more impressive than Duke vs. SDSU. Under these criteria, KU might
have an edge...it's a meaningless list in any case. We're still a LONG way
from March.
