Carolina no longer belongs to the basketball elite. If the season ended today, the 5-9 Tar Heels would finish with the worst percentage in school history (.357), slipping past the 4-7 bunch of 1913. At least Carolina beat Davidson that year. The Tar Heels' 1-4 ACC record is considerably inferior to their only two losing league records (5-6 in 1954, 6-8 in 1964).
