I had missed
this article from the Chronicle earlier, wrapping up the
Duke womens' trip to Australia. Coach G expressed that she wasn't too
worried about Duke's foul or three-point shooting problems, considering
the refereeing style and the longer three-point stripe. She did express
some concern with Duke's turnover problems in those games, and that was
certainly an issue with last year's team as well. One other interesting
tidbit: Krista Gingrich and Sheana Mosch are this year's co-captains.
What this really means is that Sheana will be expected to increase her
verbosity on the court and fire up her teammates the way that Georgia
Schweitzer and Lauren Rice did the last couple of years. Hopefully,
she'll be up to the task.
