Well it turns out that Shane Battier is not the only former Blue Devil
associated with the Grizzlies. For you more grizzled (sorry in both senses)
alums, you'll remember Tony Barone, the fireplug guard from the Windy City. Well
he's now the Grizzlies player personnel director, meaning that he sold the
Grizzlies on Battier, among other things.
Tony is one of the good guys, and we hope he gets another crack at
coaching.
