We meant to link this earlier and forgot, but Barry Jacobs has an article up
on Michael
Jordan's prospective comeback,
and he sort of hits on our theory that in the
case of Duke and UNC, each school acts as the other team's athletic
doppelganger. Why? Because Jordan, UNC's greatest pro player, and
Christian Laettner, Duke's most celebrated college player, will have to rely on
each other. It is a fascinating sort of thing, and while they have
radically different personalities, both can be ruthless in pursuit of victory.
