Mali-Intentions! Women Roll Again

The US Junior World Championship team obliterated Mali 97-29 today.
The US outscored Mali 33-4 in the first quarter (a feat similar to that
destruction of Michigan by the men's team this year) and it got uglier
from there.

Alana Beard had 14 points, 3 assists and 3 steals in just
eighteen minutes of play. Monique Currie had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2
steals while Wynter Whitley had 3 points and 7 boards. Duke target Ann
Strother had 7 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds. The US will play a
tough Russian team tomorrow before going on to the medal round.
