Alana Beard once again kicked butt for the US Junior World team,
scoring a team-high 23 points and pilfering 5 steals. The result was an
83-71 victory over Brazil. The US actually had a 28 point lead after the
third quarter, but they went ice-cold in the fourth. Monique Curry and
Wynter Whitley did not play. The win guaranteed a spot in the medal
round, although the US will be jockeying for position when they play Russia.
